My hair is falling out and I don’t understand why; can anyone help with this problem? (girl in mid teens) tnx
heart x3 asked:
I haven’t done anything out of the ordinary; ie,I still use the same shampoo, conditioner, creme, and hairbrush that I normally do. (NEVERUSED:haircolor/highlights) However, this past week,it has fallen out so much that I notice it’s lesser than it was before, not as thick. I’m a female in my mid teens and am deeply concerned about this because the hair that I lose in one day is typically the amount of hair that I lose in four to six days.* IMPORTANTNOTE: Actually, I have a theory, but can’t find any evidence to help me. I had taken the “recommended” Gardasil (a three-shot series) vaccine last June, but hadn’t had the second shot I was supposed to get in August. I did some research but nothing suggested hair loss, along with the sore throat, and headaches I’ve been getting. All they talked about were swelling/soreness on the site of the shot or breathing problems.I was just wondering if my hair loss could have been a possible side effect of the vaccine. Thanks in advance for all the help

You do need to see a doctor and be examined and tested by the doctor for several different things that have ‘acute hair loss’ as a symptom. Tell your parents that you need to do this … and if necessary show them this answer. You need to see the doctor within the next two weeks if at all possible.

my first thought was some drug you are taking. Also, the season is changing. This is the first day of Fall !

Create a video blog…instantly.
Go to a Dermatologist. Its probably nothing serious, but they’ll have better answers for you.

I am having the same problem, and just typed in hair falling out in google, and this page came up… I did some research and found out that if you recently started taking birth control, that can also do it… hormonal changes seem to have an affect It also says if you have a vitamin defficiency that could cause your hair to fall out. I just recently gave birth and that was another reason. There are some serious conditions though, so if you don’t fit into any of the above categories, I’d definitely see a doctor.
