Laser hair removal & PCOS?

Blondie asked:

I had my first treatment (of 4-6) of laser hair removal on my face today. I have PCOS and am hoping to greatly reduce the hair growth! I’m fair-skinned and my hair ranges from blonde to darker/coarse.

Has anyone had any experience with laser hair removal? Did it work for you? At least help? My treatments are $75 each and I go to a dermatologist.
In answer to one of the questions, it doesn’t hurt much at all! It feels like teeny-tiny little burns — very bearable.

I posted under TTC because I know a lot of women with PCOS are TTC AND have issues with unwanted hair.

That is incredibly cheap. I got laser hair removal on my underarms and I went to Sona Medspa in Houston, TX. I got my treatment for around $800 and that came with 6 treatments. I have loved my results, but laser hair removal is never actually permanent, and nobody told me that ahead of time. You WILL have regrowth, but the regrowth will be sparse and very fine. You’ll have to go for touchups, and Sona recommends once every 6 months.

Edit: I was breastfeeding when I started my treatments, so I was not able to use the numbing cream. Even without the numbing cream, the pain was very manageable. It felt like a tattoo, or like a needle dragging across your skin. Sure, it didn’t tickle, but it wasn’t bad.
