How well does laser hair removal work?
vegafallingstar asked:
I am considering laser hair removal but I have heard varying reviews about it. I know I am a candidate based on my light skin and dark hair, so my only real concern is shelling out a ton of money for something that either doesn’t work since my hair growth is due to hormone issues or that actually makes things worse somehow.

Has anyone had it for unwanted hair due to hormone issues and/or birth control pill reactions? Is it permanent (or, at least “permanent” enough to justify the cost?) Does it at least slow down the hair growth? Has anyone had any of the side effects… skin pigment changing, increased hair growth, lack of any change at all?

My niece is a beautician and I have been having laser treatment done the last few months on my nether regions cos waxing has become too sore for some reason.
Last time they took skin and all.
Anyway,
I have to be honest with you. I wouldn’t normally answer these questions but it doesn’t work.
It is supposed to be a long process because of hair growth cycles and all that but I don’t think there has been any much difference.
Save your money and invest in some depilatory cream.
Instant result and no pain.
That is what I am going to do.

I love it. I had it done on my bikini area and my underarms. It lasts for months then the hair starts to grow back and it’s less and less hair every time. But you do have a lot of hair follicles so for it to go away permanently will take a long time and a lot of treatments. I’ve stopped getting it done for now and the hair has grown back, but not as thick as before. When I can afford it I will continue. It’s worth it just to not have to shave for months and have razor bumps. I highly recommend it, but it is painful.

It works well but may require several treatments.

I had it done 7 years ago and the hair is still gone. The most important thing is that you are a good candidate and that you go to a quality laser hair removal profider. You can get more information at the attached sites including ratings for providers around the country.
