How long should the hair be for laser hair removal?

928c8s asked:

Hi, I will be getting my first session of laser hair removal treatment. I wanted to ask, do you ladies, go clean shave, or leave atleast a 2mm of hair growth. The thing is that I want my technician to go on all areas where there is hair. I don’t want my technician to miss any areas by mistaking them for hairless skin. Because I am paying alot of money and will be getting it from one of the best places in the country NY city, I wanted to ask! My clinician didn’t have any preference, but I wanted to ask ladies who have had this type of experience. What would you recommend?

I have done laser hair removal. My technician said that clean shave is fine and they can tell where the hair is. Believe me, there is a difference – the hair inside sticks out, so you can tell anyway. If you leave some hair sticking out – the hair will be burned right on your skin – that’s not pleasant. I think you should shave (from personal experience).
