Question by Mr. Boy: Have you or anyone you know, had a successful hair transplant?
I’m wondering if they really work or not and how much would someone with moderate hair loss cost?

Best answer:

Answer by Casey C
Im on day 5 after mine… It cost me $ 2400 and included 1000 grafts using the strip harvest method.. Obviously since its only been 5 days, I cant say if it works or not but I havent heard alot of stories of the hair not coming in to any large degree. When I was doing my research one of the big considerations was the texture of the new hair. The texture of the hair on the sides and back of my head is somewhat coarser than what (remained) on the front and back.. Something else that concerned me was that the little grey hair that I have (Im 28) is mostly located in the donor area and if its grey when its moved from the sides of your head, it will be grey when it comes in on the transplanted site. Again this depends on you and can be fixed with hair color.. One other thing the clinic told me is that sometimes younger individuals (ie under 25) jump the gun a bit and go looking for a transplant before they really should… I personally would not reccommend them for very minor hair loss (try Minoxidil first… its far cheaper… $ 18 for a 3 month supply at wal mart)… Basically it just depends on your circumstances.

Question by thebaldguy: Hair transplant? Is it real or just hype?
What is hair transplantation? Is hair transplant the only real answer to being bald? Is hair transplant will look like the real ones? Has hair transplant got some side effects also? Is there any reliable hair restoration center/clinic in the Philippines for hair transplantation? And how much hair transplant costs? Please I need an honest answer for these as I loose hope for I am a bald guy since my college days. Help me to find truth answer please?

Best answer:

Answer by felixDcat
Hair Transplant in the Philippines, Asia and the Pacific: A Primer
by Dr. Francisco B. Manzanares, Jr., M.D.

Hair transplantation is a surgical procedure performed on men and women who would like to reverse the signs of hair loss. It helps to correct androgenetic alopecia, scarring alopecia and other types of permanent alopecia. Hair transplantation involves transferring hair grafts (skin and hair units of 1 to 4 hairs extracted from a single donor strip) from the back and sides of your head (the donor area) to balding or thinng areas where you would like new hair to grow.

Today, hair transplantation is a very refined outpatient procedure that can produce full and natural looking results, even after only one hair transplant session. When performed correctly, not even a hair stylist will detect that a person has had a hair transplant. However, it is critical that the hair transplant procedure be performed correctly to achieve such natural results. To do so requires a hair restoration clinic that can perform both Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT) and Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) at the highest levels of skill, experience, and dedication. Manzanares Hair Restoration Center is in the forefront of this surgical hair restoration.

What is hair transplant exactly?

Hair transplantation is an artistic redistribution system that takes donor dominant hair follicles donor areas such as the chest or from the very back of the head (which are genetically resistant to hair loss) and artfully relocate them into thinning or balding areas. With current microsurgical technologies, this results in a very natural appearance. Basically, we take hair from where you have more than you need and put it where you need it more. The hair that is now growing will be permanent for the rest of the patient’s life. Those newly transplanted hairs need no more care than ordinary washing, styling and trimming as you have always doing in your hair. The end result is your own natural hair growing the way nature created hair to look, feel and grow. More at http://www.manzanareshairrestoration.com.

How effective is hair transplantation?

Hair transplantation is a surgical office procedure for the treatment of hair loss. This is accomplished by actually transferring grafts or small sections of hair bearing skin from the back of his scalp to bold areas on the top of the head. Follicular hair units are usually used. This technique is very effective in most types of hair loss, including male and female pattern loss. It is also effective when concealing scar injury and complications from disease. It is especially effective in concealing the scars from facial plastic surgical procedures (face lifts, brow lifts, etc.). Even eyebrows and eyelashes can be reconstructed with excellent cosmetic appearance. Women in particular are excellent candidates, as their hair loss tends to be diffuse and can afford them full coverage of the area while undergoing healing. Best of all, your results are permanent. More at http://www.manzanareshairrestoration.com.

Are there any risks with hair transplant surgery?

There are practically no risks involved in hair transplant surgery. Occurrences of infection after the procedure are rare. In the few cases where infection does occur, it is often due to the patient’s failure to fully follow post-operative instructions. When infection occurs, it is easily treatable with antibiotics which can be prescribed by the physician. More at http://www.manzanareshairrestoration.com.

What are the steps in performing hair transplant?

A typical hair transplant procedure has at least seven steps:

 1. Consultation
2. Blood Tests
3. Anesthesia
4. Extraction of donor hair
5. Division of donor hair into follicular units
6. Implanting of donor hair
7. Post operative care

The entire procedure can lasts from 2 to 4 hours depending on the number of hair grafts being implanted. Follow post-operative instructions we have given carefully and expect to wait 3 to 5 months before your new hair grafts actually start growing your new hair. It’s important to note that once your hair grafts are implanted, the shock of the transplanting will actually cause them to go into the dormant stage. This means your new hair grafts will actually die and fall out. But don’t worry for this is normal and expected. More at http://www.manzanareshairrestoration.com.

Is hair transplant procedure painful?

Hair transplantation is often perceived as a painful procedure because of ignorance and lack of understanding of the treatment. However, it is a fairly simple procedure involving only one or two sessions, and is relatively painless. Most patients watch a movie or take a nap while we work. Afterwards, they tell us that during the procedure they felt no pain. Any discomfort they feel afterwards is usually very temporary and nearly always minimal and easily relieved with simple pain tablets taken for 1 – 2 days after the procedure. One third of our patients do not take any pain tablets anymore. More at http://www.manzanareshairrestoration.com.

I have a medical condition, can I still receive a hair transplant?

Pre-existing medical conditions are always a concern of Dr. Manzanares. If you have a pre-existing medical condition, please tell us at the time of your consultation. For your convenience, we have listed responses from some of the most frequently asked medical questions:

 1. COUMADIN
If you are taking Coumadin, you will need to be off Coumadin for a week prior to your hair restoration procedure. When you have a consultation, Dr. Manzanares may require a confirmation from your physician. More at http://www.manzanareshairrestoration.com.

 2. INTRAVENOUS SEDATION
At MHR Center, intravenous sedation is virtually never used for hair restoration procedures. Instead, patients are administered local anesthesia and are able to relax and watch a video, stretch or use the restroom at any time during the procedure. If you would like additional sedation or relaxation, you may request it and we will be pleased to order it for you. More at http://www.manzanareshairrestoration.com.

 3. DIABETES
We have performed successful hair transplant procedures for patients with diabetes. However, to determine possible candidacy for hair restoration, you will first need to have a consultation with Dr. Manzanares. He may require a confirmation from your diabetes physician to confirm that your diabetes is under good control. More at http://www.manzanareshairrestoration.com.

 4. LUPUS (Erythematosus) – LE
In many cases, it is not a good idea to transplant hair into an area where the hair loss caused by LE has occurred. After hair has been transplanted into such an area, the LE process (which caused the hair loss) could recur. However, in some cases (when LE has been inactive for many years) it is feasible to do hair transplants. Dr. Manzanares will determine this during your consultation. More at http://www.manzanareshairrestoration.com.

 5. KIDNEY TRANSPLANT
For various medical reasons, a hair restoration procedure cannot be done prior to a pending kidney transplant. However, once a kidney transplant procedure is completed and has healed, Dr. Manzanares can determine if it is feasible for you to have a hair transplant procedure. More at http://www.manzanareshairrestoration.com.

Is hair transplant surgery expensive?

Comparatively, no. While there are costs involved, the benefits of growing your own hair make hair transplantation much more cost-effective than other methods, because afterwards, no further expense is incurred plus you may take into account the financial options Manzanares Hair Restoration Center can offer to you. There are no expensive chemicals to be bought or used continually. There are no expensive hair pieces to be maintained, repaired, tinted, conditioned and replaced regularly every 18 months in order to look natural. So, weighed in the light of all possible alternatives, the hair transplant solution is not only the best, but is also the most economical overall. More at http://www.manzanareshairrestoration.com.

Will hair transplant procedure suggests time off from work?

Little or no time off from work is required. But if you are sensitive about how you will look during the days immediately following, you can wear a hat, or, if that’s not possible in your work environment, Dr. Frank recommends beginning the process just before your holidays. Many patients return to work the next day. However, every person is different. Beyond examination, your consultation is a good source to be informed of possible strategies for your unique situation. More at http://www.manzanareshairrestoration.com.

Is there a chance that hair grafts will be rejected during hair transplant surgery?

Unlike kidney or heart transplant which are donated by another person, there is no possibility that hair grafts will be rejected since hair grafts wil come from the same person. The body’s immune system will not reject such. Moreover, hair from another person cannot be used for hair transplantation purposes. More at http://www.manzanareshairrestoration.com.

When should I consider hair transplant to treat hair loss?

The consideration of when to undergo hair transplant surgery is a personal decision. Its success is based on many factors, including the amount of donor hair available as well as the amount of area that needs to be covered. An evaluation for hair transplant surgery with a qualified hair transplant surgeon is most important in determining when surgery should be considered. As a rule, hair transplant surgery is more successful when there is still existing hair that can be used to camouflage the surgical area. The goal of a successful session is to allow the patient to continue to recede in a natural and expected manner, rather

Question by : How much is hair transplant for female?
Female hair transplant how much does it cost?

Best answer:

Answer by Sur La Mer
Instead of finding a solution, wouldn’t you want to find the ’cause’ first? Hair transplants, hair vitamins, hair growth pills are all ‘solutions’.

Find the ’cause’ before you can find the solution, then eliminate them. Your hair will improve. Remember, whatever it was that caused them to fall out in the first place, it took years to get in your system, it will takes years to flush them down, so don’t expect miracles overnight.

So many reasons why you have hair loss:

Supplements, steroids, hereditary, hair dyes perming, straightening, diet, having babies (yes I read once it happened to her), stress, medications with testosterone, certain antidepressants, menopause, anti-acne, and too much of everything. Add to that the 7,000 + toxic found in your home, plus pollution found outdoors. Your hair is crying for help!
When your teeth falls or get cavities, do you blame the toothpaste?

When your hair is crying for help, that’s when it’s too late to do anything about it, and hair products can not reverse the problem.

They also say you normally lose 100-200 hair a day, but I don’t. I lose about 7-8 every time I brush it, so that’s about 100 per week, give or take.

The majority of hair problems here are from girls in their 30s, asking how to care for their damaged hair, what product to make their hair grow, why their hair falls out, and why their shampoo or conditioner don’t work. Women between 60-80 have that same problem, but it took them years to get there. And those same 30 & under girls are giving advice here? Now, I’m answering more problems re: hair fall or hair not growing from girls under 15. Go figure!

Even the cheapest shampoo can do magic for your hair, so it must be what you’re doing AFTER you wash it. Shampoos and vitamins might make your hair look and feel healthier, but they won’t put more hairs on your head.

According Dr. Melissa Piliang, a dermatologist at the Cleveland Clinic. Americans spent an estimated $ 176 million on hair loss products last year, and chances are some of that money was not well spent. Don’t let charming salon owners, seductive ads or fancy gimmicks convince you otherwise.

Source(s):
Hair DX
I know hair. I am in my early 60′s, and I’ve been having menopause, and I am not experimenting hair loss, for those who said I don’t know what I’m talking about when it comes to hair. I have silky, shiny, soft, smooth very healthy long hair. Previously damaged by perming & dyeing. What you see on my profile is what I have now. It’s as thick as when I’m in my teens.
Stress, seldom. I went through stress when both parents died, plus sister taking me to court & selling the house, on my own and still no hair loss here!

Answer by Prince
Hair transplant surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Forerunners Healthcare .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.

Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Answer by Socialist Latino
The problem with her is that she overdoes it.

Nothing wrong with fake boobs, or some extensions. But the blonde hair doesn’t work for her and neither does the excess makeup.

There’s nothing wrong with a few synthetic things so as long as they actually look right.

Besides, I would rather have a “fake” person who puts some effort into how they look than an “all natural” slob.

Question by world: Will thousands of years from now archiologists uncover our ruins and find remnants of our lives?
Will they find breast implants next to our bones. pacemakers in our chest cavities, false teeth, hair implants, parts from animals used in our bodies. metals used to mend our bones and protect our vital parts like brains. This list is so large. Just think how far we have come in such a short period and at this rate how fast we could gain knowledge and advancement in the future. If it wasn’t for sin / lawlessness which was sown in mans soul in the begining that destructive force behind the human nature which destroys. Ironic that Satans fall from heaven is the exact fruit that is installed in man that destroys. Greed and lust for power so great that man would destroy heaven and earth to gain control over it. Just like satan tried to do when he was cast from heaven and now he works through humanity by his spirit. The Destroyer. Good thing for Christ second comming to stop the nuclear holocost and bring peace for 1000 years. How do you use spell check on this lower section?

Question by : For all reading lovers. What do you think of my writing?
Chapter one.
The old woman sat at a small rock beside the entrance of the garage. A black veil encircled her wrinkly, brown face and a mauve cloak swayed in the soft breeze at her narrow shoulders. The soles of her feet were black with dust. Last week, she sold her sandals to buy herself a scarf.

Beside her, Adham, her grandson banged his wooden doll against the rocky floor of the garage, where they lived. He looked at his grandma, waiting for a reply to his misdeed.

She held him up, throwing the doll away and walked into the small hut at the end of the garage. Her gait was slow. Her hips moved upwards and downwards as she dragged her feet over the cement stones, implanted in the ground.

The door to the hut was a towel torn at the middle. At night, she had to press its lower edge under a heavy stone to thwart any intruders. Inside the hut, a bed stood against unpainted, grey wall. White sheets spread across the wavy floor, Where Hayam slept. At the head of the sheet, an oven with a dangling door stood, waiting to heat a crust of bread or an expired tuna can.

She sat at the edge of the bed. Her grandson ate at some stale crusts of bread from the floor and after wincing with saliva bubbling at his lips, he spat it out. After some minutes, he fell to his back and slept.

Hayam walked to the window above the oven. It had a wooden door, painted in green. She pushed it and looked at a small pigeon standing at the stone where she sat some minutes ago. It was a beautiful pigeon. Her head was black and as you went lower, her body turned brown and right at her feathery tail it turned nearly purple. It bent down, poking a crust of bread with her peak into, what Hayam thought to be her husband’s mouth. it was so lovely to see such love, such warmth.

Hayam closed her eyes and imagined her husband, Hassan, sitting with her at their farm with the sun rising at the horizon. He would have a quick draught of his brown mug of milk then wash it and make tea for her in it.

“To my beautiful gypsy queen,” he would say as he would bend down, offering Hayam the mug. His green, narrow eyes would sparkle against the faint, light of a candle, as if he was about to cry.

Something stirred behind her. She turned and a hefty man walked into the hut. He wore a shirt smeared with black patches and a plastic, green sandal that failed to cover the black feet and long, dirty nails. Some oily patches between his receding hairs glimmered under the light of the lamp that hung down from the ceiling by a wire. His blue trousers were smeared like his shirt, especially at the knees. It seemed he spent a long time kneeling on them to fix one of the cars at his small shop.

“I can’t manage your son alone, Ramadan,” Hayam said, holding the baby boy from under the armpits and placing him at the bed, against the wall. “Your wife must return. I can’t do everything alone.”

“Mom, I told you. I can’t do anything about it.” Ramadan said, opening the door of the oven and peering into it. “There was a piece of meat right here this morning…”

“I ate it,” Hayam said, “I was hungry…”

“I’m hungry too,” he said, kicking the door of the oven. It closed over the oven, creaked, and clunked back over the floor. “Fine look, Mom. I am letting you to live with me, out of the purity of my heart. You should be grateful. I am not letting you to live in my home to eat my food. You can manage yourself; it is not my problem you are hungry. I’m the one who works, I need this food.”

“And I need someone to be with me,” Hayam said, “I’m alone; can’t you see that.”

“I don’t care,” Ramadan yelled, “I’m not here to stay with you; I have a family to feed, I have a wife waiting for me.”

Ramadan felt a warm, bony hand at his shoulder. “Am I not a part of your family, boy?”

“Take your hands off me,” he jerked his shoulder and Hayam withdrew her hand; her fingers outstretched towards her son’s body.
