Christians?

wolfgame30 asked:

Please Read all of this..its a bit long but will only take 3 min to read, and getting answers based on only half of what i write doesnt help. Also Nasty childish atheists need not answer. If your atheist and can give an adult educated answer please feel free to share. Lately ive been thinking about some of the important messages in the Bible and also some messages that may be missed, but are of no less important. I was reading the message about eating unlevened bread, seems unimportant right? so happens that medically speaking this is very healthy. There are many people out there that of corse do not follow this, and there are many people with sickness because of it. Eating levened bread all the time like most of us do, leads to things like Hair loss, skin rashes, female yeast infections, digestive ailments like ibs, and common food alergies. This isnt made up but is well know in the medical field. So my question is, do you know of other messages in the bible that are not followed
but if they were would be beneficial in some proven way.. like the example i gave.
well if you think about it most pieces of pig are extremely high in fat and bad cholesterol. Even more so than beef.
Seems i need to explain the Childish Atheist thing.. One person actually read what i had to say and understood what I meant the rest of you need some help. The Childish Atheist would say something like “The Bible is usless, full of fairy tales. your stupid for following it”
Note that i did say That if an Atheist wanted to answer and had something actually constructive to say that wasnt just degrading to someone elses beliefs then i said to go for it. Funny thing is THE VERY FIRST THING I SAID WAS TO READ ALL I HAD TO SAY.
Yea!… baca Got it. thank you

Following you, but in that vein, why is pork not allowed?

**EDIT – it is not called “the other white meat” because it is so bad for you. It is actually better for you than many cuts of beef, unless you are talking the highly processed products, like bacon or ham.

Nope. Its cool of you to give athiests permission to answer your question. The worst is closed minded people who say CHRISTIANS ONLY. Props to you.

Could you cite the longitudinal medical studies which measure the effect of leavened vs unleavened bread?

Quite a few. Much of the first few books of the Bible are basically orders to kill everybody who either sins or does not believe in “God”.

it’s interesting that none of this information has ever been released in any other form than your question….from a childish atheist perspective….seems a little non factual to me….
if it is infact true, explain how the medical community can determine that it’s the bread and not things like the air we breathe, the chemicals you put on food, genetics, stress, etc….?
it’s rude to call people childish when you don’t have all of the information to begin with….but have a nice day:-)

This question you pose only proves how useless and pointless the Yahoo Q and A have become.

This has degenerated into a childish time waster.

WE have important issues in America now, and you are much better off to help America in some way, …..please……
dont waste your energy on your childish games…..grow up

Most of Leviticus has to do with health issues. They call it god’s laws but it has to do with keeping people healthy. You didn’t eat animals with a cloven hoof that did not chew their cud. That includes pigs, and rabbits and bears and many other animals. If they are not cooked correctly they can be a health hazard. The list also includes clams crabs shrimp lobster, oysters, halibut, catfish and many others. Circumcised males are less likely to give a woman cervical cancer. I am not too sure what health reason you are not supposed to wear wool that has been woven with linen. I think that was economic, so you would not be cheated when you are buying wool and you get part linen. Men having sex with men and anal sex with any one is a health issue. You could get an infection that could kill you within a short period of time and in the mean time you could infect anyone you had sex with. Most of those things can be taken care of in this modern age, but it helps to be healthy to begin with. Should you be interested, I consider myself an Atheist.

My friend, if it is for health reasons that you want to eat unleavened bread than feel free to do so. But if it is to be more godly then you are in error. Remember what Paul said to the foolish Galatians that he feared for them because they were slipping back into the law again not eating certain foods and celebrating certain days of the weeks and new moon festivals. Be careful not to drift back into the law. We walk by the spirit.

I think the pig probably had more to do with trichinosis -which is still a danger if the pork is undercooked.
See Deuteronomy 14 for lots rules on what to eat or not eat
But remember that all this is OLD covenant, Jesus made a new covenant which made some of the old rules obselete (like animal sacrifices)
    Deut. 14-
Thou shalt not eat any abominable thing.

4 These are the beasts which ye may eat: the ox, the sheep, and the goat,

5 the hart, and the gazelle, and the roebuck, and the wild goat, and the pygarg, and the antelope, and the chamois.

6 And every beast that parteth the hoof, and hath the hoof cloven in two, `and’ cheweth the cud, among the beasts, that may ye eat.

7 Nevertheless these ye shall not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that have the hoof cloven: the camel, and the hare, and the coney; because they chew the cud but part not the hoof, they are unclean unto you.

8 And the swine, because he parteth the hoof but cheweth not the cud, he is unclean unto you: of their flesh ye shall not eat, and their carcasses ye shall not touch.

    9 These ye may eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales may ye eat;

10 and whatsoever hath not fins and scales ye shall not eat; it is unclean unto you.

11 Of all clean birds ye may eat.

12 But these are they of which ye shall not eat: the eagle, and the gier-eagle, and the ospray,

13 and the glede, and the falcon, and the kite after its kind,

14 and every raven after its kind,

15 and the ostrich, and the night-hawk, and the sea-mew, and the hawk after its kind,

16 the little owl, and the great owl, and the horned owl,

17 and the pelican, and the vulture, and the cormorant,

18 and the stork, and the heron after its kind, and the hoopoe, and the bat.

19 And all winged creeping things are unclean unto you: they shall not be eaten.

20 Of all clean birds ye may eat.

21 Ye shall not eat of anything that dieth of itself: thou mayest give it unto the sojourner that is within thy gates, that he may eat it; or thou mayest sell it unto a foreigner: for thou art a holy people unto Jehovah thy God. Thou shalt not boil a kid in its mother’s milk.

Your logic is flawed…. the command to eat unleavened bread covers only one week out of the year. Not enough for any alleged health benefits to be manifest. You could argue for health benefits of some of the Jewish dietary laws, but not this.
