are my cats sick?
BabyDoll <3 asked:
they have lost all their hair in certain, small areas, and one of them even seems to be scraped/slightly bleeding in one of the areas, behind his ears. ive seen no loss in their appetite or their playfullness, just what ive mentioned above. im worried because i’ve got 4 cats, two of them are females and have recently given birth so i dont want them to be sick coz the kittens may get sick too. luckily the female ones havent lost any hair but if the two males ARE sick then the sickness is likely to spread! ive asked my mum if she thinks we should take them to the vet and she says they’ve probably been fighting with each other or other cats so i dont know what to believe. any idea wat it is or what i should do?

female hair loss
Hi there…if your cats do not appear to be scratching themselves often to indicate flea infestation it may be as a result of several possibilities.
For example some of those guesses may be that your cats have food allergies, however it isn’t common that all your cats would react to the food rather maybe one or two cats in a group so I highly doubt it would be food allergy related. It may be the cats have been playing a bit rough with one another chafing away the fur or…they could be over grooming if it is anxiety.
There are truly many possibilities and in all honesty without being able to see the cats these can only be guesses at best. Consider having your mum ringing your veterinarian and describe the symptoms and the veterinarian’s staff can determine if the kitties need to come in to be evaluated.
